On April 14th, two speakers came from UVA. Professor L. G. Hoxton talked about how all branches of science were used in the military service during the Great War, while A. L. Kinsolving, Jr. described the life of UVA to the students to attract their interest in studying there.
May 12th, the Red Cross Fundraising meeting took place; the choir, under the leadership of A. K. Davis, “sang some stirring war songs with great emotion and quantity.”
On May 19th, Dr. Bell of the Seminary came to talk about his chaplain work in war-torn France.
