On May 17, 1968, nine United States citizens committed an act of protest that would dramatically impact not only their lives but the overall culture of the 1970s; however, their names are hardly known today, despite their lasting effect on protest structure and culture in the United States. Through this project, I hope to change that by informing more people on the Catonsville Nine, what they did in 1968, and how their bravery through civil disobedience continues to affect us today.
